Almost all mass-produced products are formed using the “mould & dies” process; thus, mold quality, cost and lead times affect the economics of producing a very large number of components, sub-assemblies and assemblies, especially in the automotive industry. Therefore, “mould & dies” technology was developed and applied including for process design/modeling, rapid prototyping, fast tooling, and optimized path making for high-speed cutting.
